Learned a valuable life lesson, and that's to never live in the countryside. 3Mbps is maximum. CSGO is crippled by just loading the forum on my phone whilst in game, and GTA took a week to download 🙃

Hopefully be getting fibre in 2021. The worst part is I could get 30-40Mbps if I lived in the village 3 miles away.

oof. i live in a rural/suburban area and its $70usd for 25/3 with a 250gb cap. its slloooowwwww

Supposedly 1Gbps Bell FTTH. I don't know what kind of congestion there is at 4AM but it's hurting by soul.

(Also cli ftw)

UK here.

FTTP type broadband, 1Gb shared between 132 apartments.

Had Hyperoptic for over 4 years now. Strangely, I'm in Birmingham yet the fastest ping I can get on speedtest is to Bradford.

Currently my ISP is force to not use Data caps but if they go away from this model I will leave them. I get 235 down and 11.75 up.

Our ISP is currently upgrading us from 50/25 to 100/50 and then from that to 1000/1000 theoretical, but that'll require the main ISP to whom the Infrastructure belongs to in our Town to further build that out. It's Fiber directly into a main Distribution box for the Neighbourhood and then Copper to us. They wanna pull Fiber directly into our Distribution box in the garden.

Our Router and APs are all WiFi 4 and every Client is WiFi 5 with my new Notebook being WiFi 6 capable. We would do a complete Infrastructure upgrade to WiFi 6 on our end once the Gigabit line would be in.

Currently around 62Mbit down and 12Mbit up, FTTP with Zen UK.

Within 2 weeks that will change..... 10Gbps down...10Gbps up.... cannot wait! 225gbp per month guaranteed no rises for 36 months.

Just sorting a machine to actually utilise this sort of speed.

Ordered a HP Z820 Workstation 24Cores/48T, 2x Xeon E5-2697V2, 256GB RAM, Quadro K5200.  Will sell the K5200 and buy a P2000 I think which seems to be a beast for Plex transcoding.

Need a couple of NVME drives to actually keep up with the 10Gbps download/upload and then will need a 10G NIC as well.

Work in progress!

I recently upgraded to double the speed for the same price of £23 a month 😮 (Plusnet in case your wondering) Still no fibre in my area though sadly so upload is a bit rubbish!

Usually 75, my flatmate must be watching some Netflix or something.
