Apparently Speedtest.net now actually saves the result on speedtests that go beyond several gbps in speed. And I've found a speedtest server that can handle more than 10Gbps (AT&T in Seattle). All the other servers in the region are capped right below 10Gbps at best. So here's a result with a download speed of 17.8Gbps and 4.8Gbps for upload.

Nope, that's a legitimate speedtest result. It isn't from my home though.

I have a 500/500 Mbit connection, for the mere price of 110 DKK, which is roughly $16.

There's a specific reason for this...

Normally the price is 399 DKK for the connection, which is just below $60, but my job pays for like 70% of my connection, since I have a technical hotline outside work hours one week each month.
I was looking into getting a 1/1 Gbit connection, but I can't get it, unless I get a second connection and pay the full price for the second one, so I'll wait a bit to get that.

Extra 10 Mbps is probably not much but it's still extra 1 MB per second on both upload and download. Besides, I only pay $30 for this speed.

Wow most people on here have such good internet speed it blows my mind.

I have 1.5 Mbps down and 0.5 Mbps up. When I have tested it on average it is in actuality usually 1.3 Mbps down and 0.3 Mbps or less up.  For about $36.00 a month.  Some years good, some real bad but lately ok.

I live in rural area so only three choices for internet here:  dsl independent (what I use), local phone company dsl (which is exactly the same offer but much higher cost) and Satellite (which has the rep locally for being horrible and high priced).  No cable, no fiber and no higher dsl offered than 3Mbps down lol.

I heard a guy the other day say he could get Gb fiber for $40.00 a month in the state of California and I just couldn't even imagine it.

In the part of Pennsylvania where I live. If you live just a few miles outside of town its like you fell off the earth ?!    ?

To me California is like another planet. ?

My download isn't that bad, but the ping sucks -- trying to play games via GeForce Now is still a horrible experience, at least for myself, with that kind of delay. No matter the speed, my ping with Spectrum has always been spotty.

Pretty typical speeds for mid-work-day from home. During peak hours after work the download speed can drop to around 800, but upload always seems to stay between 930-950 ($50 USD /mo for unlimited 1gbps symmetrical)

Recently upgraded from 50. I wanted gigabit but it'll have to wait. Faster than I'm paying for on wifi even so can't complain

My internet is slow enough that if you were to run it at 100% download speed for the entire month, I wouldn't even hit my 1 TB data cap lmao

Paying for 350/35, so not too bad. I'd happily lose half the download for twice the upload, but it's reliable enough that I don't mind, and not having any data caps is a blessing!

Having said that, the Hub 3.0 (I think it's Samsung tech underneath) is *actually* a steaming pile of shit with electricity running through it. :)

Okay so my situation is a bit complicated...

I live in a small village in France, and I'm far from the DSLAM situated in the middle of the village

My ADSL2+ / VDSL speed is in the neighborhood of 12/15 down and 1 up (the technician managed to get 19 one day, just by moving the TV and server boxes)

So I use my 4G (no band aggregation for my phone) and I get 90/30

But with band aggregation I get around 130/50, and even more with 3-band aggregation

Moreover, my ISP (Free) is linking our small village to fiber and I'll get 8Gbps soon

I was thinking about asking you guys about a luxury problem.

I currently pay for a 100/100 connection (about $35 US) and can’t decide if I should upgrade to a 250/250 connection (extra $10 US) or 500\500 (extra $12 US).

Most of the time what I have is enough but there are occations more would be nice.

Any toughts?

(I can get at most 1000\1000 for a total of $63 US)
