My gigabit internet at home is finally symmetrical. Now I'm waiting for multigigabit to become available for a reasonable price (probably when NG-PON2 rolls out).

I've have symmetrical internet speeds for a few years now, always the same speed though. I pay 29€ for 100/100, a few hundred channels (IPTV) and a phone.

8132405802.png

Speeds up to 1000/200Mbps are available, although 1000/400Mbps used to be the norm, don't know why all the ISP's in the country downgraded to be honest...

Probably because many people started to saturate your ISP and by the contract couldn't guarantee 400Mbit

This is pipped through my VPN back to the USA, I have to run always-on VPN where I currently live.

300/80 Mb Fiber into an ASUS Router that has an AES instruction set integrated into its processor running OpenVPN.

Fuck you frontier.

I pay $79.99 a month for 150 up and down, not 50 up and 40 down. If that's what I wanted I would have paid $30 a month.

While connected to NordVPN at ~20:50 EST:

While disconnected from NordVPN at ~20:53 EST (don't ask me how I managed to get 0ms of ping, I've never seen that before):

Did it again to try and get some ping to no avail:

2086525391_ScreenShot2019-06-14at6_56_06PM.png.6cee383ce69ea5cfc40af6d02eedbdf5.png

Not sure why I keep getting the 0ms of ping, any help on this?

It's really sad that I am really happy of this result.

This is after 5 or 6 phone calls to the ISP and to tech support. Before this, Spotify would stop and beuffer intermittently. I don't have a saved result, but it was around 70 ping, 0.5 Mbps down and 0.1 up. Was a terrible 2 weeks.
