Is that a 300/300 contract?

Unfortunately, yes.

This is Orange, contract called jet fiber, supposed to be a 300/200 for 49 euros.

But in France, there is also a provider called FREE witch is selling another FTTH for 29.99 euros with no restriction. 1Gbs/gbs ...  Hope to switch soon ...

Simple rules:

- don't fxxx pay if it is fxxx free.

- If it works, don't update it.

- You don't know how, just do it, you will learn something.

- Test, retest, test again, and maybe it will work.

- Trust no one, think by yourself, checks facts again. Earth is not flat, dumber.

- Don't trust alternate facts. True is true, false is false. Only lies interferes.

- My favorite quote: you have a brain, don't you ?? So use it.

- Sometimes size matter !!! So stop trolling as i do myself.

- google moto was: don't be evil. My moto is: screw it.

- open source is a lifestyle.

Wow that's not bad. In Italy I pay 25€ - 30€ (depends on the provider) for an up to FTTC 100/20 (or 200/20 where available). The price is still the same in big cities with FTTH available (1000/300) which sucks compared to other countries

Currently this is for 25 euros, FTTH

I'll change ISP in a year when the contract is over, so I can get 10Gbit symmetrical for lower price (30 euros half a year then 50 euros after that) :)

I can switch the QOS to my box and see if I can do a 10G run, not sure how well the browser or speedtest.net will handle it though. It took a few runs to get it past 4 on speedtest

Yeah, i feel ya. My closest speedtest box is 2 routed hops away, i can get 10 gig over speedtest on bare metal, however, the box im testing on now has a paraviritualized NIC that is slowing things down.

Yeah this is a VM in ESXi, and it really hits the CPU. I only have an E3-1270 V2 in there right now

I have a speedtest server just 1 hop away, but it shows 0ms and last time I posted people accused me of faking it!

Was your speedtest from home?

If only I had that at my house! Best I could get is 2G/2G MetroE from Comcast, but its $300/Mo

Other than that its all over Coax, so fastest is 1G/45Mb...
