Just got my home internet upgraded today. I used to be on a 150mbps plan (and getting around 175), now it's double. Still waiting for gigabit though. Paying $167/mo (Canadian rupees) for this connection (with no contract).

And this is the backup connection at home (gotta have that redundancy :D). It's HFC (DOCSIS 3 cable) so the upload speed is slow. Paying $175/mo for this one (also with no contract). I should probably ask for better pricing for this one.

Both connections are technically small business internet connections so there's no CGNAT or port blocking going on and I'm getting static IP addresses from both ISPs.

My Build : AMD Ryzen 9 3950X - Asus Strix X570-E - 64GB G.Skill Trident Z Neo

- Gigabyte RTX 3080 Ti - 2TB Samsung 970 Evo Plus SSD - Corsair AX860i Power Supply

Im paying about 17 usd (170sek) for 1Gbps up and down, and its unlimited. Unfortunately the switch in my building is only connected with a 1Gbps uplink since there is so few customers on the entire switch leg. But my ISP has a really good backbone net so having >1ms latency is a thing.

Hello!

Paying around $60 or R800, not too bad here for uncapped unshaped.

  • 3 weeks later...

It costs £25 per month for my mobile contract with Vodafone and about £76 per month for 100 down broadband with Virgin.

I get 116mbps down, 28mbps up with my mobile and 105mbps down, 5mbps up with my broadband.

I have a 6mbps connection capped at 200gbs. It's $350+ a month, which is the best in my town. I gotta get out of here.
