I pay for 3Mb/s, never see it and my isp is 24/7 bs and tries saying its our router and are end is fine. Everyone on my road has the same damn issue. Fucking fix it and stop being cheap and do it. I know the owner of the reseller.. They won't even repair the window that is broken in their shop.

Also, what are packets?

My ping was lower I'll need to check my settings and see if I can get it lower...

speedtest is wrong for ping anyway, sometimes its said ive got 0ms ping which is impossible since you get 1ms to your gateway/router.

How are your experiences with their support? when I called up I got connected to someone in 10 mins and they were really helpful and did it all instead of bouncing me arouond. I'm still stuck on unlimited ADSL (12/1) though.

I cant really say as I have never needed to call them as I have never had a problem. I am very happy with their service, best provider I have ever had. I switched to "fibre" online through their website so I didn't even need to contact them for that.

Probably they got some business-packages? Kabel Deutschland has them, where they can double your upload from 6 Mbit to 12 Mbit.

na they dont mate, think hes just got it mixed up, he will be on the higher package.

I would think so, too. An ISP doesn't just offer more than doubled speed out of nothing, like some people in here seem to think that.

indeed, the isp hes with is actually another isp with a changed name (bt) who is the company who owns every isp infrastructure in the uk expect virgin media, he will be on the 78/20 package and by the looks of things doesnt even know and will be paying more.

He may not be getting the full speed for whatever reason.

BT and Plusnet are completely different companies. BT own all the infastructure and rent it out to other companies (in this case, plusnet) for a lower price per line that what a consumer would get as Plusnet would rent a very large number of lines.

You are wrong about the price too. Pusnet 76mbit+weekend calls is £10 for the first 6 months and £20 a month from there. The equivalent BT package (76mbit, weekend calls) is £26 per month, only for the first 12 months. I can't find what it is after, so one would assume it would be quite a bit more expensive.

Another thing you to pay for is line rental - for plusnet this is £16 a month and for BT it is £17 a month.

Overall you pay £26 per month for plusnet for the first 6 months and £36 after. For BT you pay £43 a month for the first 12 months and more after the first 12 months.

Also included in the cheaper price is support that doesn't suck and is based in England rather than India. I got what I wanted first time and within 20 mins calling plusnet support but my friend who uses BT still hasn't got his issue fixed, 3 months later.

In that case, the marketing works very well [emoji38] [emoji1] .

See above.
