It's like golf, right? Smaller numbers are better? Well, you have me beat in all except ping /s

And it's hilarious how much my internet provider throttles me. With a VPN I can watch 720p YouTube videos all day and Twitch livestreams on high without a single buffer... Something doesn't seem right here.

I don't understand why. Are you rural? Is it twisted pair or coaxial cable?

I'm on satellite since the one ISP here with fiber and DSL has no plans of giving it to me or bringing it down my road...

The owner hates my family, ignores our calls, emails, and has blocked me and my family on Facebook... His house burnt down and I gave his son computer parts, but they still treat us like shit... Then I have a friend that is good friends with them, and they give him free rated speeds of 100Mb/s down and 5Mb/s up when he hits 100-130Mb/s down... What the fuck.

That is awesome! If you don't mind me asking, how much do you pay for that service?

I recently switched providers because my previous provider kept throttling and had issues keeping up with demand. Needless to say, I am a very happy camper now.

In one of my houses, with Fiber Optic, through Wi-fi on my laptop:

4193279759.png

Ping is a little bit higher, because I am using a bridged router for Wi-fi connectivity.

My ISP uses VLAN tagging, making it difficult to connect the Wi-fi router directly to the ONT.
Working on it...

Always willing to help :)

From Portugal with love.

Ping is pretty bad. I am using 3G for my home internet. Planning on getting fiber optic soon. My internet used to be worse than everyone here. It was 0.3-0.8 on my landline, which is why I use 3G. I have a friend down the road who uses the landline though, I'll post that test tomorrow.

Current PC build:

=== CPU: Intel Pentium G3258 (Anniversary Edition)  === Motherboard: Asus H81m-PLUS  === RAM: 8gb DDR3 === GPU: GTX 460 (Considering the RX 480) === Case: Corsair SPEC-01 === Storage: 2x 160gb 7200rpm HDD and 1x 500gb 7200rpm HDD === PSU: EVGA 500w === Cooling: Intel Stock Cooling ===
