I get 3.5 D/L Mbps with 0.7 U/L Mbps at home  :blink:

My internet on a good day! Not uncommon to see the upload below 0.5 Mbps and Download below 5 Mbps. 

 

No NBN (National Broardband Network) connection for me though! Yet.....

I am on 200MB down and 20MB up,,, But am getting a free upgrade next week to ,, 240MB down and 25MB up,, Will repost soon.

Fast enough for me, yes the ping is a bit high but...

The up speed is supposed to be 10% of the down but Virgin are working on it (have been for years)

Fibre is just like that. The Optical Line Terminals connect to switches with 1gbE/10gbE switching. By its nature fibre is easy to have burst speeds because its not generally constrained by the hardware, but by software (and congestion in some cases).
