Yea but this is false. I don't get 1MBP/s even if I'm connected to the router via ethernet.

 

I get 500kbp/s on steam max, If you don't believe me, I'll screenshot it.

120/10Mbps(that's what I'm paying for) + unlimited calls(Europe) + 144 TV channels(most of them in HD; HBO, Canal+ and Orange Sports that airs wrestling/mma PPVs for free) for ~$60.

I wish UK prices were cheaper :'(

Still more than 1 Mbit

 

This is not one megabyte per second. I am promised 7MBP/s

 

Not sure where you're going here.

 

I know there's a difference between Megabytes and Megabits.

 

1 Megabyte is 8 Megabits.

 

I am not getting 1 Megabyte per second down.

 

I am getting 0.4 Megabytes per second down.

 

350KBP/s is 2.8 Megabits.

 

Network speed / Internet speed is measured in MBP/s which stands for Megabytes Per Second not Megabits Per Second.

That's true, you don't get 1 MB/s

But why you said "Yeah but this is false"?

I though you might have read 2.8 MB/s... but the speedtest result shows it in Megabit not Megabyte (not to mention that your steam pic seems to confirm your speedtest result). That's the confusing part...

 

Alright, Actually, I see my mistake. I apologise.

I feel rather stupid now. I thought that Speedtest.net measured in MEGABYTES not MEGABITS but a quick google shows that it is Megabits not Megabytes. (Information here.)

 

Sorry again lmfao - I can't even believe I made this mistake lmao

Phone is below. The phone test is over 4G LTE on AT&T through Straight Talk. I just find it sad that my phone can pull a faster connection out of thin air than my hard wired connection.

Used to have a 7/0.4Mbit connection that i shared with 6 other HEAVY internet uses, Was a daily thing for me to have 3000+ms ping to gameservers.

Got fiber installed about two weeks ago :D
