Recommendations for a gigabit switch or router with wifi.

XenosTech

As the title says, I'm looking a gigabit switch or router that has wifi to place in my bedroom since I have shit signal in my room but I don't want to lose the fiber speeds from the router from my ISP (no I can't change that box nor can I relocate it.) Price doesn't matter to me at this point

When ever I look for them I get either or but never both or if I do the ethernet part is 300 Mbps like the wifi

Then get a simple 8 port switch and a wifi AP to give your room a personal hotspot.

That was my original setup minus the switch being able to handle gigabit speeds... Kinda want to be lazy here and just get one device

how many Ethernet devices need to be attached? I know some of ubiquitys AP has a Ethernet pass though.

This AP has 1 extra port.

If you have the Ethernet though the wall this has 2 extra ports.

What about a switch and a Ubiquiti AP. This way you can also have good WiFi too.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

Nah the wifi doesn't need to be stellar... I just don't want the dl speeds to be capped on my desktop
