Is there a way for me to install a fan controller without drive bays in the front of my case

Go to solution Solved by MkaiL,

Just get a fan hub like the phanteks pwm hub. It's powered separately through sata and has one pwm cable to plug into your motherboard and that will steer the 6 fans you plug into the hub. Your fans will be pwm controlled, even if they are 3 pin fans (the hub will set the pwm signal into the correct voltage).

If you also plug in the cpu fan into the hub, make sure you plug that one into the white fan header on the hub since that's the header that will be read by your mobo, so you'll get warned in case your fan stops working.

So I have an NZXT S340, and I was thinking about changing out the fans for some Be Quiet! Pure Wings 2's. I was thinking maybe four of them. My mobo only has two fan headers, and only one of them is 4 pin and the other is 3 pin. I wanted to know if there was a way that I could install a fan controller in order to plug in the fan. My case doesn't have any 5.25" Drive Bays and I didn't think that using splitters would be a great idea but I am open to suggestions. Thanks for the help!

I think I saw a PCI fan controller once. Gimme a minute

This. Apparently it can be mounted in a PCI expansion slot, but since it's legacy, you might have a hard time finding one

Thanks! That is exactly what I was looking for

Make sure though that the 4 pin header on your mobo is pwm (check the manual), I've seen older boards that had 4pin headers but were not pwm.

I will check, it should be as it is a Z270 board.
