The Best Fan Controller?

djhull3917

Hi lads,

Do you use an IO Fan Controller ?

If so, which one do you use ?

Are you happy with it ?

Feel free to upload pics of it in action :P

Thanx

Personally I use my onboard Fan control that comes with my Asrock motherboard, and use that to manually control my fans. i have all 3 case fans wired to one fan header. It's also wired to my LEDs.

It's a simple program with a slider. So it's practically the same as a physical dial. I choose the "Chassis Fan 2" specifically so I can manually move the slider.

Best one out there IMO.....simple, good aesthetics, and just right amount of Bling....oh yeah....connectors can also take your favorite PWM fans.

Yes i do....check Amazon, Newegg, almost any PC related store will carry it.  Remember, that's 30 watts per channel and there are 6 channels....multiple fans per channel via splitter (if you want or need).  I run my cooler fans from the motherboard, all others are on this controller.

So a spitter will reduce amount of watts needed >?

Thanks, and awesome you have on ;)

Nope...remember...a 12 volt fan generally draws around 1.8 watts (round this to 2 watts to be safe) and each channel (slider) will provide 30 watts of power....the splitter allows you to run more than one fan at a time....I have my fans broke down into zones or top (x3), front (x2), rear (x1) are all taking one channel each so when I move my #1 slider it controls both front fans, #2 controls the all three top fans, etc....

That is nice and 50w per channel @ 4 channels....mine is kinda overkill (30w per channel @6 channels) but did not see this one when I bought it...nice though.

^^^^ Its overkill for me as well, as 6 Noctua NF Series for my H320 on one channel. 3 intakes one channel, and only a single fan on each of the other 2 channels,,,,,,be sure to have lots of splitters ;)

btw.....there really is nothing in my Rig that isnt overkill ;)
