Why isn't my mouse working?

I got it guys. Reinstalled the drivers, had to change the "surface" which it is set to optimize in it's software program.

Hey everyone,

 

I've just set up my computer after transporting it between my mom and dad's place.

I've just plugged in everything again, and everything seems to be working, except my mouse.

 

It's being recognised by the computer, and I can tell because the computer makes a sound whenever I plug it in. I've tried every USB port on my pc, but none of them work.

 

Any suggestions?

No, I haven't. How would I do so without a mouse to navigate the interwebs with?

Use another mouse or any mouse that could work

How you navigate... the good old Tab key and cursors =) 

 

how long after plugging in have you waited? sometimes it takes a little time before windows finishes the installation after changing a usb port.

Being real though, if you have windows 10 you can reinstall it with a keyboard. To right click there is a kinda "paper with lines" key that acts as a right click

Its a Logitech... 20 years ago I would have said the same =) Today... hm... lets say Logitech is only a shell of their former self regarding longlivity.

I've had my G400s for years now and apart from some really minor paint spots missing it's working like a charm.

I still have a working 20+ year old Logitech mouse for my Amiga. That still was quality. My MX got already swapped while in warranty and died with the same issues 2 times again... I fixed them myself now, swapped out the faulty parts with more decent ones.

Hm okay. Maybe it's just that lineup that has such problems then (which sucks). Can't complain with either my keyboard nor mouse.
