Timelapse Pan Thingys

Sorry about the title. Not really an official name for these things. I've been looking for a egg-timer-like timelapse panner for a relatively cheap price and came upon these:

Reviews for both are about the same. Is it worth the extra $10 to have 120 degree pendulum swing, speed control and choice of direction?

My first question is: which camera are you using and do you think either of them will support the weight of your camera?

Second: have you thought about the features you need?  If the extra $10 gets you speed control, choice of direction, then that would be more useful than one that only turns a single direction, no?

A university is not a "safe space". If you need a safe space, leave, go home, hug your teddy & suck your thumb until ready for university.  - Richard Dawkins

Just a phone. And the second is probably what I'm going to get, just for the change of direction. But... It is $10 more.
