To buy : LG 29UM69G or LG 29UM59-P

Hello, 

 

looking to purchase a wide screen monitor and came upon these 2 monitors, any advice on which is better. 

 

Will be using this in a new build, ryzen 1600 & rx580 or nvidia 1060

 

- 29um59, $50 cheaper, says led.

-29um69G, looks better

 

main usage will be for games and some internet and office work.

neither is specifically better I don't think, but imo i'd go with the thin ass bezels on the 59G

Look about the same. I'd get the 69G as it looks a bit cleaner.

Both has freesync. Its hard to decide, because price is so close together. But i feel like i am missing something that differentiates these 2 monitors.

 

the 29um69, should be higher msrp.

 

is it simply because the 29um59-p is led and the 29um69g is not led?

 

and could someone please give me advice if these (cheap) monitors will bottleneck the rx580?

Pretty sure the 59 is not freesync, or it would say.

 

LED just refers to the backlight. They probably both are led.

I think The 29UM69G has some similarity to its bigger brother, 34UC79G which is optimized for gaming

"Make it future proof for some years at least, don't buy "only slightly better" stuff that gets outdated 1 year, that's throwing money away" @pipoawas

 

-Frequencies DON'T represent everything and in many cases that is true (referring to Individual CPU Clocks).

i have a 29um68-p and its great, got it to 0-80hz

but its not a super fast panel, and there is some ghosting

I like LG monitors that end with G, because it is gaming specced and similar to 34UC79G

well they pretty much have the same spec, they just added the built in speakers

and a different stand for the 69G model , because "Gaming" lol.

I think its region is different. If you have a look on LG official site you can found 69G from UK site and you can find 59G from Asia region. That's why the price and design is different I guess
