Control non-PWM CPU fan on cheap motherboard?

Hey guys, I can't seem to find anything that's applicable to my case so...

I recently bought a new fan to replace the stock one on my Cryorig H7 (TT Riing 120mm)
The problem is, it's incredibly loud on stock speeds. And, it's not PWM.
Normally that wouldn't be an issue, as I could just adjust the voltage, but...
My mobo is a Gigabyte B85M-DS3H-A
It's a cheapy $50 mobo, but for a modest budget build it works fine.
However, the UEFI is absolute crap, and doesn't have a way to adjust voltage on the CPU header. I've tried SpeedFan as well, but with no luck.
Is there any way I can control the speed of this fan? It's so loud I can hear it through my headphones, and it's driving me insane...

You would have to buy a manual fan controller to use and then use the bios to bypass checking CPU fan plugged in.

Put a resistor in the power lead?  Or you can run a mosfet from pwm.

Damn, so there's nothing I can do with software?

Maybe something in the bios would help like switch pwm to D.C. Or something like that.

Yeah, I've been looking around for something like that, but I haven't found anything. :(

Speedfan is only 3rd party option for free. You can get hardware based controllers (Corsair Commander Mini and NZXT Grid+ v2), but those have price tag.

About Speedfan. Did you select correct controller chip for it? Or look at some guides on how to setup it?

The cpu_fan header usually uses pwm by default. Use a different fan header.
