The RAM I’m using is Corsair Dominator GT sticks with extended heatsinks (64 mm tall), even without the extended heatsinks the Dominator GT sticks are taller than a lot of RAM (43 mm). I had to remove the extended heatsink from the RAM stick closest to the CPU socket, and that gave the RAM enough room to fit under the overhanging Shadow Rock 2 (43 mm). The maximum RAM height allowed under the Shadow Rock 2 is ~47 mm, and typical RAM like my G.Skill Eco is 32 mm tall.

From a review article. That G.Skill TridentZ RGB RAM is 44mm according to official specs.

Newegg reviews:

"Would not clear the RAM Modules in my Asus ATX Z97-A Motherboard, even though the Be Quiet Manufacturer's website says it is compatible. It might, if I moved the fan to the top and reversed it's flow, but then I would loose efficiency."

"Installation is very difficult on a X99 motherboard. On a Z170, you hold the nut steady and lock in the cooler by turning a screw on the backside of a motherboard. In comparison, for a X99 board, you have to actually turn a nut with a tiny supplied wrench to screw in the cooler. This is difficult because the cooler is so large. I had to remove 2 out of 4 memory sticks, remove my graphics card (sits in the slot next to the CPU), and take the fan off the cooler."

Sounds like you'll have trouble if you buy that cooler. If you want something that will definitely fit, Look at the Cryorig H7

The heatsink should fit fine and the fan can be raised to accommodate for ram.

What cpu are you cooling?
