The CustomMOD cases are also such low volume that they can't really be said to actually be a product you can buy (19 MINI cases and 7 SLIM cases currently exist).

Just a heads up the Dr. Zaber guys are looking to sell the case after the indigogo is complete and they have added new features. Can someone explain the CPU load temps?? Because they make 0 sense. One of the cases was like "25°C idle and 28°C load" I think. Well, maybe not 3°C delta, but still, im sure load temps are VERY strange.

The temperatures here are CPU/GPU *exhaust* under load, not the die sensor - The idea is to show how well the cooler is breathing and how heat is accumulating within the case.

I second the comment about wanting to see a document that gives the data for all the cases in one place! I think most of us don't even care if it looks pretty or not as long as we have something to look over and make our decisions based on that's all in one place instead of having to flip back and forth between video sections.

I think the Idea of this video is good but i think this would have been a good muli-part video. Yes it gave me some summery info and all but would nice to get the case with builds running in it. What i mean by that is the cases are normally built for low heat not taxed system point being a home tv computer and what not so would be nice to see how the heat works for all of them power supply options that fit and so on. Then get a build if i wanted a htpc as my primary desktop now we are on the higher end of the spectrum wanting it to be able to game. and then just like how there was the crazy pc built a few months ago in something about the size of these but had some xeon cpu in it would be nice to see those types of issues it would be overall a crazy set of build guids and i am sure it would be a metric ton more work then the amount of work to do this but would provide viewers with a much more detailed template of if they wanted to take one of the 3 listed builds and put it in the case that it would work and what they need to get in terms of cooler power supply which gpu fans cool decently in side the case and what not.

I would have loved to see a gathered information compiled in a table to scan through faster. Linus stressed the work associated with the video so why not invest the additional bit of work to make the information much more accessible to everyone by compiling it to a package that tells you the hard facts at a glance. I have had the same gripe with a recent hardwarecanucks visor and I think this is one of the important things the YouTube community still needs to learn from print media.

I've been looking for a tiny case and this video I studied hard. I like how at the end it shows the lineup.

My first choice would be ML08 due to the handle, Then then Silverstone RVZ01 then Node 202.

The only reason to go small is for portability. Thats why the ML08 is good because it has the handle. I will rewatch the video and see how it is for GPU water cooling and airflow.

pretty sure GPU water cooling is almost impossible at least without some serious modding.

 

Temps in the CPU/MoBo chamber is good enough. assuming you have a decent LP CPU cooler. The ML08 owners' favorites are the Cryorig C7 and the Scythe Big Shuriken 2 Rev B, the Scythe being the beefier of the two.

Heck I'm just using my stock cooler on the i5-7500 and the temps don't really exceed 70-75°C, although idle temps are a bit high ranging from 40-50°C. 

 

The airflow in the GPU chamber is baaa-a-a-ad ahaha. The main problem is with GPU open-air coolers not having enough airflow to both intake cool air, and dump hot air OUT OF THE chamber. A ton of ML08 owners have opted to add smol ehxaust fans either

(1) at the top of the chamber (w/ modding), or

(2) at the side (w/ rubber mounts) - fan size being dependent on the length of the GPU

 

What GPU are you planning on getting? If you're on a budget build (e.g. 1050Ti) a slightly more portable choice would be the ML09. It's around 7L but only supports LP graphics cards (1050Ti being the best LP gpu there is).

I switched the case to Silverstone RVz01 because its slightly wider giving extra room. The handle part can be made to work on that case. Custom of course. 83mm spacing for cpu cooling.

oh yeah I haven't done much research on the RVZ01 (or ML07). But I think you should recheck clearances with your chosen ATX power supply.

IIRC, yes the '-E' variant does support ATX power supplies but owners still opt for SFX modular for cleaner cable management.
