My GPU is kinda overheating...

Elastico345

My GPU is kinda overheating. It seats around 85-86c on load w/o even overclocked and set my fan rpm to max (roughly 2k RPM).

This is even after i applied the aftermarket thermal paste which is the Arctic MX-4. I know the thermal paste works because there's a significant difference when using it on my other computer and my laptop.
I use the pea method to apply the thermal paste into the GPU.

my GPU is a Palit Geforce GTX 970 Jetstream.

The bottom of that GPU is an Inno3D Geforce GT 730 (used as a display adapter).

There are 5 case fans used in my case.(2 Intake from the front fans, 3 Outtake from the top and back fan)

ANY SUGGESTIONS??? thanks :)

It sounds like you may not have used enough thermal compound. Did you have the same temperatures prior to using the new compound?

Set a custom fan curve.

Try swap the cards, put 970 at bottom if your mainboard support 16x/8x for bottom PCIE slot.
