LTX 2017 Meetup Announcement

Hey Everyone!

 

We're proud to announce LTX 2017 - a meetup, convention, and tech themed carnival all crammed into one event. It's going to be held on July 29th, 11am - 5pm, in the arena bowl at the Langley Events Centre, here in Langley, BC, Canada.

 

The LMG team is pulling out all the stops to create the world's first ever Tech CON-ival: a fun, family friendly hodge-podge of games, exhibits, and socializing. Mind-splitting prizes are on the line, and the LMG staff will be lurking about, rocking you at the Case Toss, wrecking you at CS GO and pretending they don't know you at the Socks & Sandals photobooth. 

 

The goal is to have interactive tech themed booths, silent auction, activities, on stage un-boxings and panels, and of course a good old fashioned meetup.

 

I'll update this post soon to include a "FAQ" section, but for now feel free to ask any questions that you have. You can get a hold of me either through here or on Twitter @colton_potter.

I just looked at flights (from Heathrow and Gatwick), and have to ask, is there something else big going on that week in Vancouver? Ticket prices around then are way above other times.

 

The $500 ticket is nothing compared to hardware! It's like, a mid range GPU. But once I factor in flying, I'd want to stick around the area a bit while I'm there, need time off work... maybe another time.

 

(I didn't even manage to get to the PCPer meetup when they were in London recently...)

Yeah, but I'm only 12, and I think I'll be on vacation during that time anyways. Plus, my hardware is too big to carry around with me, take my laptop and keyboard (that's what she said ).

Oh, and I mean London, Ontario, not in the U.K.

Good point about it being vacation time. Schools here are out then, so late July is peak season along with August. I guess that will contribute to elevated pricing.
