Galaxy J7 (2016): What's wrong with the headphone jack?

Hey everyone, recently I bought myself a new phone which my old one was the S3 LTE+ I fully modded that cunt but I had to upgrade since it was getting WAY to old. ANYWAY let's cut straight to the chase, I was using my headphone jack the first 2 weeks normally, nothing broke or no weird sounds came out of the earphones or anything. But the second week I had bought it, sound only came out from one ear, I'm really not sure if it's the jack or the earphones themselves, but here's the thing, it happened with my old S3 too, it was working fine for the first week but the second it was playing sound out of one ear too, when I test the earphones on other phones they work fine but I really don't know! The only phone I've used them for more than a month without the jack/earphones/whatever breaking was my ancient Galaxy Fame. Any solutions or advice are welcome!

(Yes I'm a Samsung fan got a problem with that?)

It's your earphones. Your earphones are broken.

Have you tried different headphones?

 

when I had my s7, the same thing happened to me. It is probably the earbuds/headphones. Btw, are they the ones that came with the phone, or not?

Yeah I actually have tried the stock samsung ones and they work fine but there's a problem, THEY'RE FUCKING UGLY

They're some iLuv ones, their sound quality is pretty good, not the best but they do actually look kewl and do the job

That is the problem. I would try out some skullcandy earbuds, just to see if those are better

Do you know any way to mod these samsung earphones so the rock solid ear THING that touches your ear inside get's removed and I'll add some other ones I've got that are soft

Shave down the piece that is touvpching your ear, and hope that you don't accidentally carve into the actual speaker thing
