Machine learning sex robots. We're evolving, no they're.

I don't care if someone fucks a robot; it doesn't take away my own freedoms nor their own freedoms.

You're a bunch of degenerates but it's very telling that humans want more than just a fuckbox; they want a partner.

If A.I. ever gets that far then it's nobody else's business.

No matter how good AI is it wont be able to replicate human feelings/emotions accurately, they will look and feel fake.

Wouldn't be so sure. If AI could fake the most sincere emotions to the level we couldn't tell if it's true or not then there's basically no difference. Not saying it's going to happen any time soon, but I would be surprised if it's not going to happen.

Me - "You wanna smash?"

Robot - "No."

Me - *slaps the robot*

Me - "You wanna smash?"

Robot - "Yes."

Me - "This neural network technology is awesome!"

But really... I feel weird enough when writing with Cleverbot... This would be totally different level of feeling awkward for me, not to mention if someone else would find out :D

Step 1: Kill off half of earth's population.

Step 2: Replace that half with, well.

Step 3: Profit????

In not sure where you live, but I feel like it can be reasonably assumed that you live in the West, as the vast majority of people on this forum do. Anyways, in most Western nations, overcrowding isn't really a problem, and birth rates in quite a few Western nations are falling below death rates (data.worldbank.org/ vs. http://data.worldbank.org/indicator/SP.DYN.CDRT.IN?year_high_desc=truehttp://data.worldbank.org/indicator/SP.DYN.CDRT.IN?year_high_desc=true), which is harmful to future economic growth and general social stability.

I am curious why it is harmful?  Most arguments stating its bad are based on the current economic model of the young working to support the old and their spending habits "supporting" the economy.  To me, this is lunacy incarnate.  Why do we want to keep growing the population when we are on the eve of replacing a huge percentage of our workforce with AI/robots?

I agree that overcrowding isn't really a problem.  But I wouldn't say we need more people.  If our entire economic model is based of constant population growth, at some point it will no longer be sustainable.  We need a different model, not based on birthing more workers to ever feed our debt based economy.

Well, that's why I also brought up the social aspect. Humans are social creatures and have an instinctual desire to procreate. Oftentimes, if we're denied a desire that's so deep-seated, it can lead to depression and other mental health issues. Also, with no children, or even only one, it's hard to take care of the old generation, not only economically, but with general care needs, and we're quite a ways away from fully-competent, cheap healthcare robots.
