Blender3d.org is a good opensource 3d modelling program.

Unity3d.com isn't freeware but they have a free version that is still great for making games.

http://musescore.org/ I haven't used this one in a while but if you need a free notation software it works.

 

There's my start, anything more and I'd be better off referencing a list someone else compiled. :)

CCleaner > Cleans up temp files and other crap on your PC

Defraggler > 9001x better than Windows Defragmenter

Speccy > Shows system info and temps

Um.

CPU-Z/CPUID- CPU stats

 

WinDirStat (Awesome)- Tells exactly how all your storage is. You can easily see big files and then manage them from there.

 

Gyazo- You can select any part of your monitors and it uploads them to gyazo.

 

Audacity- Audio recording

 

GPU-Z- GPU stats

 

GeForce Experience- If you have an nvidia card.

 

Portable Apps- Just go check it out.http://portableapps.com/

 

I have experience with all of these and they are great. Completely recommend.

uTorrent - download some random torrents... I love having viruses on my computer and then trying to get rid of them. Best fun ever.

For the first time I am glad my internet connection is slow. The page loaded slow enough for me to see the URL and ctrl+w out of there.

CCleaner, Freemake suite of programs (but be sure to decline all bloatware in the setup),  VLC, TeraCopy, and Revo Uninstaller (non pro version is not bad imo).
