Dude, look so I just went to intel's website for fun and found that some store offers core I7 7700K for only 300$ I mean it's 50$ cheaper and the store is called microcenter here is a link to intel and the store:

Very legit, they just have really good deals  I've been to their store in NY a couple of times and it really is a magical place, usually best place to get unlocked Intel CPU + Z mobo combos

A lot of deals like those are in-store only though, check if they have a store near you

Microcenter is absolutely legit.

 

The reason they can sell the CPUs so cheap is because they only sell them in-store. While people are in the store, they'll typically look around and find other things to buy, which makes up for the reduced profit on the CPU.

I got my ryzen 1600 and an asus prime b350 plus mobo for only 300$ At microcenter, very good store for deals and sales.

It's legit.  Give it a couple months and they'll have a sale for $260 ish.  I bought my 6700K from them a year ago for 259.99, and you get $30 off the motherboard if you buy it at the same time, along with deals on RAM too. Microcenter is the best, it's why I drive 75 miles to mine.

Good news for those in the Bradenton area! Round trip cost to Marietta via plane costs about $130. 1-hour flight vs 7-8 hour drive? Totally worth it.

Microcenter is the best pc store out there. If you live near one, their deals are hard to beat. I luckily live just a short drive from one, but I have heard of people driving hours to one for their cpu-motherboard combo deals.

100% legit no sarcarm there. But don't forget tax. Usually just save a few bucks. They have store cities you can find it on their website.

I worked at the Microcenter in Westmont, IL.  They are quite legit. - By model, they do not advertise (as companies like Best Buy would) and rely on word-of-mouth from customers to spread their business.  They also sell CPUs at a loss with the expectation they will make up the margin in other areas (Peripherals, mainly.)  

 

They will price match basically any competitor as well - Amazon, Best Buy, Newegg, etc.  Really, I haven't worked at Microcenter for 4 years now and I still shop there whenver possible.

She said she had never heard of a bunch of brands on my PCPartPicker list and tried to sell me a pretty overpriced item when there was clearly a better deal there as well. Probably an isolated case but still not great

Just curious did they want to put stickers on your purchase? I think they must be on some type of commission as no matter where I picked the part up in the store someone in a whole different area wanted to put their sticker on it.

That was almost a year and a half ago so I honestly can't remember, but I don't remember that.

the core i7, 512gb NVMe drive, GTX 1050 4gb, 16gb RAM, fingerprint, 4k touch. for a total of ~$1780 after taxes. This same configuration is $2048 on dell's website. There are 3 left in stock now since I picked mine up. This is the best impulsive decision I've made. Maybe because I was gonna buy it anyways in 3 months. Except I got it for 200 bucks off MSRP.
