Does anyone NOT like Battlefield 1?

Ever since launch I've been contemplating whether its actually a fun game or not. Not saying its bad but still different from modern warfare.

I dont even launch it anymore as there just isn't that satisfaction when playing battlefield of going behind enemy lines and spraying everyone down. and going on enormous kill streaks where in battlefield 1, alot of it is just heavy hitting bullets and really cant do much with oneshot's. I guess I just miss the fast pacedness of 4 than 1

 

Playing with a squad.

In 1 its still fun but not as satisfying as bf4 where your mates all get in a server and take the vehicles and boots on ground and cap points. and get on top of the scoreboard. I just dont get the same satisfaction I did in 4.

 

(also I fucking miss smaws and rpg's)

 

I understand that we needed something different to the gaming community, as modern combat and futuristic games were taking over but is that really bad?

I mean I would love a futuristic battlefield or another modern combat title from BF..

 

So I think buying bf1 for $60 was a mistake. Thoughts??

I think it's the time frame. WWII would have been a better option. I personally prefer BF4, Black Ops 2, and MW2 type games. Modern, fast paced shooters. But COD WaW is avery fun. I think's it's the weapon choice. BF1 is fun but BF4 is more fun

Just keeping this here as a I like it. Though I'm hardly much of an authority: since building my PC it's literally the only game I've bought and played (for lack of money) I enjoy it but I have nothing to compare it to quite yet. The main criticisms are a lack of content (which I haven't found an issue, but that's just me) and a low skill ceiling (which I haven't found an issue because I'm not skilled) :P

I thought I liked it, then I played BFBC2 again for a while and realized that game was more fun solo than BF1, and stopped playing. Don't get me wrong, any BF is a hell of a lot of fun IF you play with friends. Without your entire squad in the room or on mics....eh

Screens- Acer preditor XB241H (1080p, 144Hz Gsync), LG 1080p ultrawide, (all mounted) directly wired to TV in other room

I absolutely love bolt action rifles and WWI/WWII guns, and I played the "beta" and loved it, I still didn't buy it, but I am still tempted to pick it up every now and than, so I'm in the like camp.

bf1 just lacks so much and i'd compare it more to the battlefront reboot than bf3/4...

Haven't played it yet, but I was fed up with shooters anyways. I also haven't played online for a long time, because it got boring years ago.

for the short time I played it, it was fantastic

imo, it captures the atmosphere of WW1 quite well. I had a wonderful time, especially with the M1918 automatico trench (seriously, the hipfire on that thing is so insane). 

I also own BF4, and, between the two, I'd rather play BF4, because of the greater weapon diversity and attachments. Plus, more vehicles.

For me in BF4, Assault was my favorite class due to the assault rifles which were great at medium range and were automatic. In BF1, there really isn't anything that fits that role other than maybe the LMGs but I don't find they enjoyable to play.

I own nearly every CoD and Battlefield game but I couldn't get into them. I do enjoy the style of the games but I just don't find them enjoyable. Its to repetitive for my tastes. But I do understand why people enjoy them.

To me BF1 ended up being the same experience as Battlefront: Play for 10 hours and never touch again. I am quite disappointed as i have poured at least 300+ hours to BF3 and 4.

I feel like it is probably a really fun game to play but I have not picked it  up due to my dislike of EA and a few design choices in the game.

I've been given Battlefield 3 for Christmas back when I was running the laptop that had no business trying to play it (Radeon 5470). It's rather odd that once I built Nala, I spent all of an hour in that game to test my new video card, then never touched the Battlefield series again.

 

Give me a good JRPG and I'll play it for hours. Shooters are pretty much dead to me now though.

I play bf1 from time to time, its only the dlc's that disappoint me. BF1 already feels like its lacking content and the dlcs sure do add in quite a bit, but at a cost. Otherwise graphics are stunning and gameplay is decent.

Bf1's gameplay is overly simplistic and shallow for the series, and I think its UI doesn't fit the game and gives the game a sterile and disjointed feeling. And while the graphics are great, the maps are meh and don't reach their locations' potentials, such as Argone Forest, and Monte Grappa. As a result, I'm playing more Battlefield 2 than Bf1.

How so? What are they doing with the WWI setting that you think could be done better in a WWII setting? They're already using automatic weapons, aircraft, and tanks exactly as one would in a World War II game. There's already almost nothing making this a WWI game aside from the visual theme and supplementary out-of-game historical information.

I'm still onboard with Battlefield for the most part, but BF1 has some really baffling design decisions regarding weapon balance, grenade mechanics, and melee mechanics. The pace of updates and DLC releases is really hurting the game as well. While I don't expect the game to be fleshed out to the degree that BF4 was after four years of development, BF1 is behind where BF4 was at this point.

 

Also, it may just be me, but the DLC maps seem to be dead already. That tends to happen with DICE's paid map packs, but I don't recall it ever happening so quickly. I got about a week out of them.
