Does this airflow chart make sense? And what case fan models would you suggest?

colovianfurhelm

I'm struggling to choose 3 case fans to replace 2 stock ones, which are noisy.

I want them to be quiet, and if this idea is actually good - 2 airflow optimised and one static-pressure one. The case placement is pretty limited - 2 120/140mm on the front, and the exhaust is 120mm only.

RGB would also be good, and I was really considering Riing TT RGB Premium Edition or Corsair SP120 RGB, but I'm not sure if they are quiet or good-performing. I've also heard about LED software conflicts with gigabyte GPUs.

I can not go for most Noctuas because they will not fit by the color, and the Industrial fans seem pretty loud and expensive? I'm not sure.

Basically it's either black, or RGB. Quiet and good-performing non-RGB fan > mediocre-performing RGB fan.

If anyone went through similar troubles, I'd be really glad to find a good solution.

Why are you using airflow optimized fans?

We've all heard (and if you haven't just go look at one of the Amazon buyer's videos) about Linus's clear disdain for airflow-optimized fan design.

Corsair's SP is a good choice. If price is not a concern, then the IndustrialPPC fans are good. Just use system fan control to pull them back down to an acceptable speed.

If your GPU is a blower design like you suggest, then it works. If it is an open air design, then you definitely need more static pressure in order for the fans to be able to pull enough air into the case for the GPU to exhaust its heat, and for the case to be able to adequately cool the CPU. With all the extra heat swirling around inside, the CPU's temps may be hindered.

"Not breaking it or making it worse is key."

"Bad choices make good stories."

i would personally suggest to get 3 Pure Wings 2 from bequiet, they do a fantastic job even with the restricted front on my case, and they are very quiet and somewhat cheap.

I can't get Pure Wings (any) in my country, seem to be often out of stock.

The market choice is limited, in addition to the headache of choosing the fans.

What about two Noctua NF-F12 industrialPPC-2000 IP67 PWM, 1 the front(top) and 1 in back (using stock for the HDD cage one)?

Then, some time later, I'd add an NF-A14 for the front-top fan, and put down the NF-F12 to the bottom, instead of stock fan.

I'll explain my desire for airflow on the front-top fan: it's in the middle of the long-ish case (Masterbox 5), where there are no obstructions except of videocard itself.

P.S. I admit, the reputation for quality of Noctua fans seems very alluring. If only I'd built a brown PC.

let me give you a piece of advice, ignore the static pressure gimmick and stay away from industrial fans if you care about your acoustics.

and the nf-f12 is the worst noctua fan i have ever laid my hands, horrible air push and as loud as any 15 dollar case fan.

I'm leaning back and forth really, I have watched and read countless reviews and comparisons, which did not make anything clearer.

Now I am leaning towards SP120 RGBs, to just have everything on average.

I own 4 of the NF-A14 iPPC 2000 IP67's and they perform really well but as it was mentioned above, the acoustics are less than desirable and I am currently looking for a suitable replacement for the front 2 intakes.

Just my two cents on those.

iPPC's aren't worth getting if you don't need the extra robustness. Normal noctuas are quieter and better suited.

Where are you shopping/located? Budget?

What are your specs?
