What is a pci e riser cable?

I bought thermaltake p3 snow but got it w/o riser cable where can I get a cheap one are the all the same thing? links

This would be a PCI-E riser cable that is necessary for that type of case.

There are a lot of places that sell it such as Amazon, Newegg and such. The thermaltake PCI-E risers aren't the best quality ones from generally hearing about them but as it's part of a case it may not work with another third party riser.

If your system has a horizontal tray like this for the PCI-E hardware yes it's the only option.

Risers are not specific to motherboards or GPU's, the key is to get one that is shielded and good quality to ensure stability to the system.

ill have paid about 150 for the case and pci part.
