Asus pg279q vs Acer x34

XtremeRampage

Im torn between getting the asus pg279q or a refurbished acer x34. I would go for the acer but cannot stand black bars. However its so awesome and beatiful. The pg279q also suffers from terrible blb and ips glow ive heard. But i wouldnt see any black bars in games. The extra 65 hz doesnt really matter to me. Also is it risky to go for a refurbished acer x34? They cost around $650-$700 but is there anything wrong with them? I cannot decide between the two someone please help! I would be running with a gtx 1080 ti. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Also i would be playing games like overwatch, gta V, and fallout.

you won't see black bars in GTAV and Fallout, I believe. But you want to run Overwatch in 16:9. Anyways, it'll still be like 27" display, so I would consider it worth it. It depends on what the refurbished terms are. Where would you get it from?

I say the x34 for sure, but that is because I'm looking forward to buy one myself.
