Advice on choosing budget monitor.

PaperLuigi

So I'm looking to buy a monitor.

Uses: gaming, editing stopmotion of lego guy.

I'd prefer it to be around 22 inches, needs good viewing angles, it needs to be low eye strain since the current screen I use burns my eyes after using it for 30 minutes..

Budget is $100 although I can push it to 130 if necessary.

Currently looking at HP 22cwa, aoc i2267fw, Samsung c22f390, benq gw2270, and AOC I2279VWHE.

I would assume they're pretty similar, just wondering if any of you have used these.

You're on the right track.

IPS or VA are the panel types that you want to go for.

Eye strain is something that can't be taken care of at the monitor level aside from an auxiliary program, like f.lux. You may want to turn the contrast and brightness down on your current monitor for the time being. Additionally, if your gamma is too high, it can cause excessive eye strain.

"Not breaking it or making it worse is key."

"Bad choices make good stories."

Thank you, that seems like it will help :)
