Forum push notifications?

I was just wondering whether it is possible to have the forum notifications be push notifications on my phone. Would be convienent.

not yet afaik, they would have to implement this seperately

when you first log in on your phone, chrome would ask you if you allow LTT to send notification. choose allow

Atm you need to have browser running in background. But they do work.

My Note isn't showing me notifications... Chrome is open and so is Opera, but no notes.

Weird. I have them with S5 and Firefox.

I've been getting them on my SE with Opera. I'm trying to figure it out now.

Notifications are supported on desktop browsers, but mobile browsers more aggressively unload the tab, so the system that we have doesn't work there.

Implementing it in the forum software is unfortunately quite complicated, because it would involve making modifications to the existing system, which makes things complicated. The forum software devs said that they weren't planning to add it as a feature for any browser because "theres [no] browser push support for iOS". Why lack of iOS support means that no browser can be supported is beyond me, but they have spoken so there is no chance of convincing them unfortunately.
