Msi bios update

Hi im trying to update my bios i have a msi h61m-e23 ive download required update extracted the file to usb device a pop up on the screen say i have bios version a.5b5 and will update to version c.30 so i click ok computer restarts but bios not updated i have tried live update 6 etc etc but still nothing.Have tried in the bios to update but says no bios update found.need to update bios as ive ordered a i5 3570 and dont think it will work with the current bios.Can anyone help

So deciphering your text.

 

You have unzipped BIOS files to USB and tried from BIOS update utility -> It doesn't see BIOS file? Does that mean it sees the stick ok?

 

With Live Update, are you trying with downloaded file or downloading over internet?

all sorted now i installed windows 7 and run setup again and worked striaght away seems live update dont like windows 10
