Don't know what you want to do, and how much editing you can do with that software. But I use "handbrake" to convert my vids. Seems to max out my CPU whenever I'm using it. Can't remember if it's freeware of I just downloaded it from somewhere, but it works great for converting stuff.

Not sure what you are trying to say here. Was it to me, because I said Handbrake gets my CPU running at 100%? Well "son", if you would use handbrake, your CPU would also run at 100%.... Son...

ok here is what happened I edited the video in windows movie maker first but the video came out small with a black border around it so I downloaded hitfilm to zoom in on the video which worked but It took 5 hour to render and then it lagged so I had to start over from scratch with hitfilm and it turned out alright

Did you change the aspect ratio settings in windows movie maker to 16:9 before making it create the final product.

I'm only saying because I forgot to change the setting from 4:3 to 16:9 and even though I had the settings correct for the final product, it slapped black bars on each side in the final video.
