my wifi is screwed

KG15

Today I got my graphics card and made some place for it in my case, I moved my wifi card some places below which resulted in my wifi speed to literally decreased 10 times.
I tried to repair my drivers, uninstall and installing them again, and even placing it back at the slot where it originally was with no difference.
There is no speed difference between the slots, they are al PCIe 1x.
The max I get on my PC is 2.5 Mbps and my iPad gets in the same room 12 Mbp, I have no experience with network related stuff so I don't know what to do in this case.:(

did you try to remove the graphics card and test again the wireless card it may just be power consumption.

Also if you wifi is 2 frequencies like 2.4 ghz and 5ghz make sure your wireless card is going for the 5 assuming its in range. Some routers tend to brodcast 1 SSID and either your wireless card or your router will choose which option it thinks is best.

I need to post 1 big comment sorry I am doing multiple things right now. I will show you from my laptop how you can make sure it selects a 2.4 or 5ghz frequency

Open Device Manager> Network Adapters > Choose your card here (double click) > go to advanced> from here options vary but it should be somewhat obvious that there is a 5ghz or shared 2.4 and 5ghz option.

looks like it's back to normal, I'm sorry for wasting your time y'all, but now I got another question: is it ok to have te network card direct above the GPU, there is like 0.5 cm or more gap

WiFi is not the best thing period. I would try updating the device drivers. Move your computer or router closer. Run an Ethernet cable would be the best.
