Help overclocking a monitor

I've been looking into monitor overclocking recently. 

 

I dont care (as much) about the INSANE DANGERS OF OVERCLOCKING as this isnt my main monitor and I wont be using it.

 

The monitor: Asus Vs229 h-p/Vs 239 h-p

 

I've gotten it to a safe overclock of 70hz.

I want to know if I'm getting a true refresh rate of 70hz or the monitor is just "emulating" it. 

 

I've noticed that the monitor does look a bit smoother.

 

TL:DR I have a Asus monitor oc'd to 70hz. Wondering if its a true 70hz. I dont care abooot danger, im extreme.

If you don't notice missing frames, then you can do it quite safely. I wouldn't OC mine cause I'd rather keep the lower refresh than see skipped frames.

Nvidia control panel, have tried the (idk what its rly called) cru.exe application.

That is PRECISELY what I am looking for sir. Im not seeing much skipping though, smooth as butter on hot, summer, sidewalk.

I have a question about LCD reduced. 

Does it limit the output range or bpc?

What does it do?
