That HDD is killing me xD

I would rather buy SSD now, put OS on it, and buy HDD later.

If you buy HDD now, put OS on it, and later buy SSD, you will need to reinstall windows and all games again .... kinda pointless if you ask me.

Also by looking at that build, you are buying CMK8GX4M2B3000C15 RAM ...

And here is the list of RAM supported by motherboard that you want to buy: https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/B350-TOMAHAWK-ARCTIC.html#support-mem

I don't see those rams listed. Now it could run just fine at 3000MHz, or you will have bad luck and it will run at 2133MHz or 2400 at best.

Safe bet would be, to look at that list, and try to find some RAMs that are officially supported by that motherboard, so you are sure it will work and at what frequency.

Well I'm glad you decided to use SSD, so that's good now in my opinion.

I see you switched to B350M arctic: https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/B350M-MORTAR-ARCTIC.html#support-mem

Still doesn't officially support CMK8GX4M2B3000C15 RAMs that you have on your list. It will work, but probbably not on any higer than 2133 or 2400MHz.

Umm... you have any previous gpu? You need an external GPU with ryzen.

That's a showstopper right there.

EDIT: Sorry, I'm blind.

So its capped at 2400?

I would recommend against spending twice as much on the CPU as you are on the GPU. Unless gaming is just an afterthought you should really try to budget the largest chunk for the GPU. The RX580 will last you a lot longer and perform better than the 460.

Nope, also not on supported list.

Those are: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/jjZ2FT/corsair-vengeance-lpx-16gb-2-x-8gb-ddr4-3200-memory-cmk16gx4m2b3200c16w

And those RAMs will work at 3200MHz, so it will give you overall much better performance, since Ryzen loves fast memory. And those cost only 15$ that the one you want to buy, but those are guaranted to be okay. So it sounds like good investment.

@Simon771 @ZimFreak Guys this is a budget video editing/graphic design pc I'm not gonna play triple a games on this pc I think. just starting to edit/make videos.

In that case it should be fine, especially if you are using programs that depend more on CPU than on GPU. And if you decide in the future that you want to do some gaming, you simply sell that GPU and buy better one. You will only need to change one component. So add those RAMs that I linked to your list and order it :)

That's my advice.

Is there a cheaper version or a 8gb version?

Not that I could find. Those are the cheapest RAMs for that motherboard, that are officially supported by MSI. Others are starting at 150€ and more.

If you can't pay that much, you can just orders those RAMs that you first wanted to, but no1 can say for sure if those will work.

or 1050 ti

Right now you have RX 460 in mind ... next step on AMD would be RX 470, but it's around 160$ if I'm not mistaken.

You should get GTX 1050 for under 130$, and if you can get 1050 Ti it will be even better. Like you can see on those 2 links.

Think should grab gpu for like 70-90 and buy a more exspensive one later if I need it?

With your build I would probbably use GTX 1070 which is around 390$ now.

So if I were you, I would buy that cheap GPU for now, and later when you get more money, invest it in better GPU, so you can also game on it.

"great minds think alike" alright thanks this is first build just hoping the 1600 is strong enough to handle elgato capture card. is 1600 equivalent to i5 or i7?

R5 1600 will give you around 1100 score. If you overclock it to 4,0GHz, you get even higher score. I don't see any i5 getting to that score. My i7 4790k is only getting around 800-900 in that test.

So it safe to say that you can compare 1600 to i7  CPU when it comes to using all cores.
