why not?

i would put my pc on the floor if there was space there, because i have no desk space.

also cases have rubber grips on the bottom of it, and if not.. it's grounded by psu

Ryzen 5 3600 stock | 2x16GB C13 3200MHz (AFR) | GTX 760 (Sold the VII)| ASUS Prime X570-P | 6TB WD Gold (128MB Cache, 2017)

Samsung 850 EVO 240 GB

138 is a good number.

Its the principle of it.... yes its probably ok but if you build a nice PC it should be shown off and not hidden under a desk. but to each his own I guess....

My PC is on the floor. My desk has no space for the full sized original NZXT Phantom. Plus it's heavy as shit. I clean it and have filters for it, but I have a glad board for it so it's not just on my carpet. Other house had hardwood floors.

Uh my PC is in the smallest case that fits the components, under the floor behind my desk. I don't want a lump of electronics in my study, it's tacky, ugly and awful. You may like flashing lights, glass panels and tubes but I really don't.

I'm all about minimalism, so the PC is hidden away.

Unless your case is something like a compact itx build or had a side window to show off, it belongs on the ground tbh

I'm honestly about to put my PC on the floor because I'm always recording mic while in game, and my PC is right behind the mic, so you can hear the airflow.

if you have to insist you think for yourself, i'm not going to believe you.

Why do you need a separate PC for 3D printing when you could just use one of your other two powerful PC's?

That's an F in the profile pic

Its actually my mass storage and its connected to my wifes school class room.  That way the students can print out projects here.  She teaches 2d and 3d art and animation.  I have it on that separate machine just for that reason.  I don't want them on my computer.

Mine is on the floor right now (although the floor is tile).

Although I'm posting this from my linux box which is sitting on top of my gaming machine.

Currently building a new desk, and my new PC will be on the desk proudly displayed, because the Inwin 301 is tiny.

SFF-ish:  Ryzen 5 1600X, Asrock AB350M Pro4, 16GB Corsair LPX 3200, Sapphire R9 Fury Nitro -75mV, 512gb Plextor Nvme m.2, 512gb Sandisk SATA m.2, Cryorig H7, stuffed into an Inwin 301 with rgb front panel mod.  LG27UD58.

Aging Workhorse:  Phenom II X6 1090T Black (4GHz #Yolo), 16GB Corsair XMS 1333, RX 470 Red Devil 4gb (Sold for $330 to Cryptominers), HD6850 1gb, Hilariously overkill Asus Crosshair V, 240gb Sandisk SSD Plus, 4TB's worth of mechanical drives, and a bunch of water/glycol.  Coming soon:  Bykski CPU block, whatever cheap Polaris 10 GPU I can get once miners start unloading them.

MintyFreshMedia:  Thinkserver TS130 with i3-3220, 4gb ecc ram, 120GB Toshiba/OCZ SSD booting Linux Mint XFCE, 2TB Hitachi Ultrastar.  In Progress:  3D printed drive mounts, 4 2TB ultrastars in RAID 5.
