1. set a static IP, ensure correct subnet, default route etc. etc.

2. ping anything on the 127.0.0.0 subnet

3. ping static IP set above

4. ping default route

5. ping DHCP server.

6. telnet to DHCP server on ports 67 & 68

7. try emulating a different mac address and set ip address to dhcp.

 

post screen shoots/copy paste outputs.
