Ethernet Broken $3 Bounty to Whoever has the Solution

aquah
Hey everyone, I was working on fixing another issue so I restored a earlier version of windows 10 to my PC, the issue is fixed but now my ethernet is completely broken, I've tried all the netsh and ipconfig commands and no dice. Anyone know a fix? Whoever gives me a working solution will receive the bounty! :)

Mods, please make me a mod so I can win this bounty.

Aerocool DS are the best fans you've never tried.

Hypnotoad's RAM is dying, his motherboard is acting like the 6-year-old AsRock it is, a couple of SATA ports have just stopped working, but the RGB remains. The RGB always remains. Hypnotoad lives. All glory to the Hypnotoad.

Try to reinstall Windows. Or perhaps you are using the wrong driver?

Tried that too... Both ethernet cables work on different systems, router reset useless.

169 ip usually means yor computer cant reach the dhcp server in order to obtain a proper ip.

open CMD as admin

ipconfig /release (this command may or may not fail, proceed even if it fails)
netsh winsock reset
netsh int ip reset
Reboot your computer.

you can also try a more basic

ipconfig /release

ipconfig /renew

EDIT: also make sure you're plugged into the right port on your router, and consider completely resetting your router to factory
