Building around i5-6500

Hi people, nice forum, newbie here.

I got some money and I'm planning on finally replacing my very old pentium dual core. I basically need a cpu, mobo and memory and would like to get the best cheap performance/prize items. So I started picking the intel core i5-6500 but I'm kinda lost at choosing a mobo... I want to save some bucks but also don't want to have to replace it the next year or lose performance on my other components. So far i got this https://es.pcpartpicker.com/list/qPDVTH

Also a friend is talking about buying 2 4gb instead of 1 8gb.

Comments about the monitor are also appreciated :P.

The goal would be playing online games (wow, overwatch...) at least mid-high quality. I have an nvidia geforce GTX 650 that it's gonna stay there at least one more year. Also no ssd.

What is your current setup?

I'd also get a Ryzen R5 1400 (equivalent to an i7) + B350 motherboard instead.

I'd still get a Ryzen R5 1400 then, but note that your GPU will still be a heavy bottleneck.

Keep it as a mass storage drive no? You can then splurge out a little more on a higher capacity SSD :P

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

Thanks but that's more expensive and I can barely afford the i5... and yea I'll have to live with that bottleneck until I can upgrade my gpu...

It's a MUCH more powerful CPU, so it's worth paying a bit more for it.

Also, it looks cheaper to me:
