Vmware and images

I was wondering if i could use a backed up image of my computer as a boot for VMware? Just using the standard home use one not the pro version. The image i created was by using macrium reflect.

I think you should be able to, but the best way to know is to test it out.

I've done it before using the free VMWare Converter to create a VMware image of a computer.

It's called Vcenter converter right?

yeah, I think so.  Takes quite a while depending on the machine and how much stuff is on it.  Like hours...

+1 to VMware Converter, I've used it hundreds of times and it works like a charm. :D

uh... id say about 110Gb from a 120GB SSD that its compressed to about 80-90 i think? Should i make a backup of that or does it create an entire new file?

Sure hope so... Saves me exchanging my  SSD's everytime i need to grab something off of it.
