Is Google's dns server good?

I am testing out a vpn and download "torrenting" dummy files my friend sent me (just torrent files with some random text saying hello and crap and that is it, no pirating here)..I realize that my vpn seems to have a dns leak and decided to connect to a different dns server, Google's, and it seems like there is no dns leak there for now..Is it trustworthy? Will google be suspicious of dummy torrent files that I am downloading even though they aren't copy of anything pirated like a charter or at&t isp would?

Don't call me a nerd, it makes me look slightly smarter than you

Well torrenting the ISPs dont care about too much. It's only when they get letters from the copyright owners that they start caring.

Do you know what a DNS leak is? Because changing DNS servers will not prevent a DNS leak.

My native language is C++
