  • Some prepaid Japanese phone that had a GameBoy-like screen (black and white dot matrix all the way :3)
  • Another Japanese flip phone. It had changeable face plates and RGB before RGB was cool.
  • Another Japanese flip phone, made by Sony. It was pretty cool, but I only had it for a few months before I left the country.
  • LG flip phone, forgot the model.

Nokia 33xx series (pre-2009)

iPhone 3Gs (2009 - 2012?)

HTC One X+ (2013 - 2015)

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge (2015 to current)

Maybe some other little flip phones and candybar phones in there as well, but those are the major ones I've had.

My first was a Motorola v2288 with FM radio option enabled : http://www.gsmarena.com/motorola_v2288-221.php

phone1.jpg.c8710dc75e30b4e8fb2b314e4a2d9738.jpg'

Mine was the full black one , the covers are removable (a flexible thin plastic like material). Loved listening to stereo FM radio on headphones while I was student at university (going around town on tram/bus or walking between university buildings etc)

Stopped using it because batteries eventually died and wasn't worth buying new ones (and they were some kind of non-standard AAA ni-mh batteries (3 x 600 mAh or something like that) ... and it was a bit bulky.

"Upgraded" to a Nokia 1200, paid probably about 25$ in today's money for a retail package, no contracts, nothing : http://www.gsmarena.com/motorola_v2288-221.php

phone2.jpg.756a8a0d2e15df8dac432fa3d59a9f70.jpg

I'm not cheap, i have the money to buy a smart phone if I'd want to, i just don't feel the need to. I have separate portable player now for music (Sansa clip), I have a powerful "high end-ish" computer for browsing and playing games , i have a cheap old laptop that i can be rough with  if needed (an ibm t40, good enough to play music and some video SD mostly if i sometimes have to take a train to some place, has serial ports and old network card if I need to use it for connecting to network switches or other crap like that.. no need for a smarthphone

This cheap phone can handle being dropped, can handle water well (not water proof but can be left in the rain or even be put under kitchen sink water jet to clean it), has a nice led flashlight, lasts up to 2 weeks on standby, charges in less than one hour, replaceable standard and common battery
