[NVMe] PCIe AiC vs. M.2

seris

Since form factor has no effect on performance (they all seem to be PCIe x4), what would be a better choice - an Add-in Card SSD or an M.2 SSD? It seems like the only difference can be temperature control. So which one of those do you think is easier to keep cool? AiC might be increasing temperature of the gfx card, while M.2 is squeezed in-between the gfx and mobo.

I would go for the AiC. You can then place your fans in such a way that it will be cooled. With a m.2 that's a bit harder.

You're prolly right. My current one (plextor m8pe 256gb) is M.2, and under load it is 50C, which is fine, but I think AiC should be cooler.

But... M.2 is just so much sexier =)
