AMD announces a new Radeon Pro Duo based on two Polaris 10 GPUs... and it's not watercooled!

At least it's cheaper than its precedessor which was around 1500$ I believe?

 

Personal opinion:

So AMD decided to release a new Radeon Pro Duo card, this time featuring two Polaris 10 chips instead of two Fiji XT ones...

I don't fully understand that because I expected the next Pro Duo to be Vega-based...

I mean, two Polaris 10 chips are just slower than two Fiji XT chips...

Ikr? I mean how many cases actually have problems with the length of cards these days? Putting the connector on the back end of the card would look so much better cablewise, and make it easier for wide cards to fit.

And they gave it the output solution to run 8k monitors, which is currently only a thing on nVidia's 5000 dollar workstation card.

Well to be fair the last pro duo was actually stronger than this thus this pro duo better have less mark up given its lackluster performance by comparison

For content creation a Titan Black would be better than than the Titan XM? I know that they disabled a few features but shouldn't those better and extra CUDA Cores really help out?

There are tasks in which it indeed could be faster despite an older architecture etc... Maxwell is really cut-down in terms of hardware, those chips were never as beefy as Kepler or Hawaii hardware-wise...

That's actually quite affordable for a workstation class card, considering how much the quadro cards cost and the amount of performance you get.
