Do you think ULMB matters?

orangecat

So I have a PG258Q and I'm messing around with ULMB mode and I really can't tell the difference. The panel is fast to begin with and ULMB does help on things like the UFO test but when I'm gaming I really can't tell the difference. Sure maybe it's slightly less blurry but there are so many frames already on screen @ 240Hz that I just can't tell the difference. Personally I'm not sold on ULMB. Sure its cool but to me it's like the cherry on top on an already otherwise excellent display.

Never heard about "ULMB" before, and don't know what it does/is. So in my personal opinion: nope, doesn't matter.

OP: It's not compatible with gsync so no I don't think it matters.

You don't know what ULMB is, you don't HAVE an opinion about this Topic.

The only thing you have is pure ignorance, since you didn't bother or care to inform yourself for 2 fucking minutes what this topic is actually about.

Go, inform yourself, THEN you have an Opinion.

@ Thread: ULMB reduces Ghosting/trailing greatly. Of course, when you hit 240 Hz, the effect isn't really that visible... Since Ghosting/trailing is already extremely minimal there.

The Option is there.

But in order for it to work at best, you need capped fps, since ULMB has a fixed Refresh Rate.

I personally would stick to G-Sync, since i hate stuttering or Tearing much more than Ghosting.
