So I am very interested in the game but the layout of making it difficult for me to see what there is. 

Here are my questions

Is it all on one server?

Is there even multiplayer?

What is starter pack for the game? AKA cheapest ship thing

When will it be out?

Is there anything I can play right now?

Are the planets randomly generated?

Will my 980ti and 6800K be able to play 60FPS+?

Will there be VR support?

I think are more than 1 server, but it is determined via Location, say North america, Asia, Ect.

There is multiplayer, For ship PVP, or Ground combat PVP

The cheapset starter pack is the warbond aurora, and this ship is getting a rework as of right now.

No one knows when it will be out.

The game itself is limited in terms of content for now, theres a few missions in the public universe where you fly around shooting enemy ships but thats all.

You will get 60 fps in the PVP Star marine and Arena Commander

Yes VR support is something that will happen in the neat future.

2. Star Citizen is all multiplayer, Squadron 42 is the single player game.

3. Aurora or Mustang, it's like $40 or something like that.

Their ToS says that any expected release date is not binding as it's it might be pushed back. That is in regards to refunds but is applicable.

 

They've already pushed it back like 4 times since they started the project.

They've already pushed it back like 4 times since they started the project. 

There were only 2 dates, one for Star Citizen and one for Squadron 42

They already outlined the whole feature set for Star Citizen until 4.3 and given their current speed we might see 5.0 (beta, all features implemented) by 2020

We haven't heard about Squadron 42 yet but we expect the first episode for oct '17 at Citizen Con.

980ti should be fine for 1440p solid 60. Keep in mind that the current versin is not optimized and FPS are bound to network performance

 

Edit: at the very top of the RSI website there is a yellow banner which will lead you to a getting started page which will also give you the option for the 2 cheapest starter packs. Keep in mind those are for Star Citizen only. Squadron 42 is a 15$ add on (VAT applys outside of USA).

Is it all on one server? the persistant universe will be yes

Is there even multiplayer? yup, they are also working on possible co-op for squadron 42

What is starter pack for the game? AKA cheapest ship thing 45 dollars for the aurora, and the mustang

When will it be out? The alpha is out now, the next major update is about 2 months away, the Full release will be out when it's ready

Is there anything I can play right now? Yup, the pu test, arena commander (star ship combat pvp and pve), and Star Marine (pvp first person combat)

Are the planets randomly generated? no, they are using some procedural tech to generate much of the surface and artist directed

Will my 980ti and 6800K be able to play 60FPS+? after they do a bunch of optimization, sure

Will there be VR support? yup

If this game was being made by anyone else they would be calling it vaporware by now.   So far it's following the same path as JGE.  I'm just holding out that there are too many backers for this project to fizzle.

Grammar and spelling is not indicative of intelligence/knowledge.  Not having the same opinion does not always mean lack of understanding.

It's the latest thing. Be moody and complain about the state of balance and crap.

It does look like it'll be a beautiful game when it's done, and it obviously isn't being rushed, so there shouldn't be any glaring issues when it's released (unlike Battlefront, which nailed the graphics, but sucked on content AFAIK).

I prefer Opposing Force, so I'm not bothered by HL3 but i think it won't come out because no one could make a good enough game to match the hype.

This is why I like it, games should take there time not be rushed into yearly creations.

 

I think the issue for me though is they changed the flight style and the ships have gone from unique feeling to ships on rails that either go fast or slow and not much else.

 

That said most of the changes they make pan out of the best so I'll trust them for now
