Headphones that sound warm? The quest for my perfect headphones.

RGProductions

Hey there LTT forum, I've been having fun with headphones lately. I decided my 668bs are rather hardsh, and want something fun. I want to know what some of you guys would recommend for headphones that sound warm and full that can be powered by the LG V20. Budget isn't really a thing here, just curious, but please keep it in the scope of reasonable.

- Sennheiser HD 598 Cs( not sure if a v20 can run it)

Why do you hate the V20? And it can comfortably power 598s at less than half volume.

LG is one of the best company in the world, i love how awesome their customer service is my wife only went through 4 lgg4 before they gave us a refund. lg mobile quality control is so good that they are getting hit with a class action lawsuit. if you are getting a phone avoid anything with a LG logo on it.

it was either this or an S7, and I much prefer this for my needs. Also, it hasn't seemed to happen in the last few months.

because most people just gave up on LG. quality control is a very big issue lg had problems with lgg4,lgg5,lgv20,lgv10, nexus 5x. My wife had her s7 for 4 months now, she seems to like it( i have no opinion on the s7, i haven't used it).

Can't quite tell if your talking ,boiled or PC, for PC I recommend Kotion each, always, forever. I get mic quality the level of youtubers 666 dollar microphones, surround sound for good immersion, and good audio for music at the cost of maybe getting another 30 dollar pair of Kotion Each (the same ones, very cheap but good) every year or two after dropping it a few hundred too many times.

What? I'm looking for headphones BTW, because this seems like its about a mic. Audiophile headphones as well, not a gaming headset.

Ah audio only, got chu, for mobile I assume. With the way headphone ports are looking, I'll find a Bluetooth one. Sorry had to indulge on my love for Kotion each products. One second.

Mobile and desktop. I don't really think you get that I'm looking for a very much audiophile targeted product, and Bluetooth and audiophile don't mix (until things get very expensive)

jokes aside let me look.

OP a somewhat warm sounding headphone would be the creative Aruvana Live!

My main Headphones and IEMs:  K612 pro, HD 25 and Ultimate Ears Reference Monitor, HD 580 with HD 600 grills

DAC and AMP: RME ADI 2 DAC

Speakers: Genelec 8040, System Audio SA205

Receiver: Denon AVR-1612

Thanks! That's something I've never heard of, and they look great!

It depends how you want them to sound. Increased bass? Increased midrange? Reduced treble?

There are a lot of different sound signatures that could be described as warm.

Increased lower mids mostly.

The Creative Aurvana Live! is outdated though. I like warm sound and I threw my Superlux HD681 in the garbage because the treble was so harsh. Here are some of my top picks:

Philips M1 (keep in mind the headband is tiny and clamps hard):

https://www.amazon.com/Philips-M1MKIIBO-27-Headphones-stitched/dp/B00V3A0LLE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1492992324&sr=8-1&keywords=philips+fidelio+m1

Sony MDR 1R (best pick, but used):

Bose Soundtrue (can't go wrong with these but the SONYs do vocals better):

https://www.amazon.com/Bose-SoundTrue-around-ear-headphones-II/dp/B0117RFX38/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1492992608&sr=8-1&keywords=bose+sound+true

I have an LG G4. They refused to give me a new one when it boot looped because I had a tiny crack on the top of the screen, only visible in certain light, not even over screen.

T-Mobile was nice enough to give me 50% off a new phone though.

On topic:

HD650, done.

EDIT: oh, $100... let me think

Not limited to $100, but hd650s and an amp to properly power them would be almost as expensive as my pc

All you really would need is an HD650 and a Fulla 2.  So at the current price of the HD650 on Amazon you would be looking at $414 w/o tax.

My friend is having such a clusterfuck with his g4 that he's considering ditching ANDROID altogether and going to Apple.

i5 6600k and GTX 1070 but I play 1600-900. 1440p BABY!

Still, don't put too much faith in my buying decisions. xD

I knw, I told him that. But it still might be better for him to get the 6s as he plans. His whole family uses iphones, and he's sick and tired of things that don't work. Maybe the iPhone will give him peace of mind.
