Apple Watch Series 1

Go to solution Solved by ARikozuM,

Perfectly safe. You only have to be careful if you're submerging for long periods.

I got an apple watch series 1, and i'm wondering if it is safe to wash my hands with them. The watch will get wet but not stay under water for a long time. Is that safe? Thanks

I do it all the time!

It should be fine.

It says "WR-IPX 7" on the back.

IPX7 – Full splashdown accepted captain. If you drop your device in water up to 3 feet (1 meter but this is ‘Merica and we don’t do the metric system. USA USA USA) your device is still going to work.

(according to http://news.outdoortechnology.com/2013/07/02/water-proof-water-resistant-and-ipx-what-does-it-all-mean/)

That would be covered under tag "splash resistant". And I wouldn't pay for anything which is exposed all the time and can be rained on. Would be waste of money.

It should be fine, however I wouldn't recommend it with the series 1 or generation 0  watch.
