Extinction Ray - Hardline Watercooled build

NannerBeans

This is my 2nd hardline water-cooled build. I still need to name it but it's mostly complete. I was overclocking this and the computer shut off on me. Checked all the fittings and there's no leak so it must be becase the power supply isn't big enough. I have a new one on the way.Other than the new PSU and custom cable kit I just bought, the only parts that were bought new are the GPUs, the case, and most of the watercooling parts.

Here are the base components. Getting ready to start.

Next, getting the cpu waterblockin. Used Coolaboratory Liquid Ultra both underneath the headspreader and on top. I usually don't use this on top of the heatspreader since it scratches the letterings off but the previous owner already did that.

Installing some of the fittings and planning out my tubing runs. Ended up using more adapters than I expected to.

First tubings in! Gotta do the easy ones first.

Spoiler

First actual bend! Haven't done this in a while but it was actually pretty easy for the 2nd build. Also put in the drain port.

Spoiler

large.58fe3d34cc26c_2017-04-2218_00_03.jpg.8ca608f7a7d152ad899c4582ff870e55.jpglarge.58fe3d43b620b_2017-04-2218_02_49.jpg.7d02b0273e512cfe8dd2f916080ea29b.jpg

Another tube in. Ended using a lot of adapters for this one because the ports were pretty close together and the ports didn't line up.

Spoiler

First double bend! Double bends are the hard part in hardline. Single bends are easy because you can bend a right angle anywhere and trim off the ends to get it to the size you need.

Spoiler

This bend was rough. Needed to make 2 bends really close to each-other.

Last bend is in! Preparing for the fill-up.

Fluid is in! Started to bleed the loop when I realized I was dumb and set up the tubing though the GPU wrong. The fluid isn't actually going through the blocks. Had to remove one of the tubes connecting the GPUs.

Finished Product (Sort of). I still need to swap out the PSU when the new one gets here and overclock the GPUs.

Just got the new PSU and cables in! Final result! These Cablemod cables are also neater than the Bitfenix ones I had before. Also, EVGA's Superflower line is definitely the best for sleeved cables. The way they pin their PSUs makes for the nicest looking cables compared to other PSUs. Definitely worth the extra cost to get them.

It looks like you filled your loop with bourbon.

Call it the "Tastes Like Victory" rig.

DELETE! DELETE!

EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE!

Silence will fall.

PSU Tier List - I keep forgetting where this is so I'm going to leave it here.

Haha yeah the orange doesn't show up on camera very well. Maybe I should get some Mayhems pascal instead. The distilled water + dye doesn't gunk up the components as much though.

Well you know, aint nothing wrong with bourbon. Lol, I like the way it looks personally, kind of has that amber hue to it. Reminds me of the fossilized mosquitoes from Jurassic Park
