College Laptop

I'm trying to recommend someone a laptop. As of now, it's between two Dell Inspiron 15 5000 Non-Touch Laptops. It looks like the main difference between the two is that one will have an I5-7200U CPU while the other will have an A12-9700P APU, although I could be wrong and there could be some other differences. Which one would be the better choice?

Intel by a mile, although the AMD's graphics may be slightly better, their CPU performance is WAY worse.

AMD APUs, until their Ryzen ones roll around, suck. and, that AMD CPU is ancient, since it's not Ryzen.

Yeah, as much as I like AMD, they aren't really competitive for laptop CPUs yet. I'd say definitely go for the Core i5 one. Not to mention its about $80 cheaper at the minute.

The amd plays games better.
